Happy Eclipse Season, Soul Family!

This week, we’re in a rare energetic corridor. On 7 September, the Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces drenches us in the waters of release—the perfect time to dissolve psychic blocks, illusions, and doubts about our intuitive gifts.

Two days later, on 9 September, the 9/9 Portal opens with its triple-9 vibration of completion and humanitarian purpose.

The cosmic invitation? Release → Align → Serve.

On Angelorum, I’ve shared two deep-dive spreads to help you work with this energy:
👉 Total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces: Tarot Spread + Ritual
👉 How to Harness the 999 Portal with Rituals and Tarot Guidance

My personal gnosis is that many of us will be called to work with the underworld deities at this time. The Dark Feminine and the Dark Masculine are not “evil.” When they enter our lives, they often bring destruction—but this destruction is necessary. It is the breaking down of illusion, falsehood, and psychic debris that keeps us from truth.

These gods and goddesses are the cosmic composters, stripping away what no longer serves so that new life can emerge. When we honour them, we acknowledge that endings and shadow are part of the sacred cycle of becoming. Their gifts may not feel gentle, but they are deeply liberating.

The Dark Feminine teaches us surrender and fierce compassion, cutting through illusions that block our intuitive sight. The Dark Masculine offers guardianship at thresholds, ensuring that what dies stays buried and what is reborn can rise without interference. Together, they clear the path for us to embody our highest path of service.

🌑 Deities of Release for the Pisces Lunar Eclipse

If you’d like to anchor your ritual work with sacred allies, whether you view them as archetypal forces within your own psyche or as independent divine beings, here are four deities traditionally connected with release, purification, and psychic renewal. Choose the one who calls to you. Approach with reverence, keep your requests clear and sincere, and always give thanks.

1. Hekate (Greek)

  • Who she is: Torchbearer and liminal guide, goddess of thresholds, the crossroads, and release from binding energies.

  • How to approach: Light a candle at a crossroads or doorway. Offer garlic, honey, or a libation of red wine. Call on her for clearing psychic debris and guiding you safely through transitions.

  • Invocation: Hekate, Keeper of Keys and Guardian of the Crossroads, light my path and dissolve the shadows that bind me.

2. Anubis (Egyptian)

  • Who he is: Guardian of thresholds and the Duat, psychopomp who oversees rites of purification and safe passage.

  • How to approach: Offer bread, water, incense (frankincense, myrrh), or dark chocolate. Place a stone (obsidian or hematite) on your altar. Call on him for safe psychic cleansing and shadow work.

  • Invocation: Anubis, Guardian of the Gate, guide me through shadow and doubt with clarity and protect my soul in this passage of release.

3. The Morrígan (Celtic)

  • Who she is: Triple goddess of battle, prophecy, and fate. She strips away illusions, confronts shadow, and reminds us of the power that comes through endings.

  • How to approach: Pour a libation of red wine or offer blood-red berries. Black feathers and corvid imagery resonate with her. Call on her when you’re ready to face uncomfortable truths and claim sovereignty beneath fear.

  • Invocation: Morrígan, Great Queen, strip me of falsehoods and awaken the power that rises from endings.

4. Odin (Norse)

  • Who he is: The Allfather, wanderer, and wisdom-seeker who sacrificed an eye for vision and hung upon Yggdrasil to gain the runes. A god of seership, magic, and initiation through ordeal, Odin guides souls through transformation and awakens psychic sight through sacrifice.

  • How to approach: Offer mead, bread, or poetry. Work with runes as living spirits, or light a candle at dusk in his name. Call on him when you’re ready to endure necessary trials to claim wisdom and sharpen psychic vision.

  • Invocation: Odin, One-Eyed Wanderer, open my inner sight through ordeal and grant me the wisdom that lies beyond the small personality-self.

🌊 Ritual Flow for the Eclipse + Portal

  • Eclipse (7 Sept): Work with one of these deities in prayer, meditation, or simple offering if this is something that calls out to you. Use the Flow into Fulfilment spread to identify what’s dissolving.

  • 9/9 Portal (9 Sept): Step into service. Revisit the 999 Portal Spread and rituals. Let what you released create space for your soul’s next mission.

The eclipse clears the ground. The portal plants the seed. Together, they’re a cosmic rite of passage from shadow into service.

🌘 Should You Make Moon Water During an Eclipse?

This comes up often, and the short answer is: no.

Eclipses are not ordinary lunations. They carry disruptive, shadow-clearing energy rather than the nourishing, cyclical light we normally work with at Full Moons. Capturing that energy in water tends to create agitation, instability, or a sense of being psychically “off.”

Instead, use this time for release rituals—burn, bury, or dissolve what you’re ready to let go of. If you feel drawn to water, try a ritual bath or foot soak with salt and herbs for cleansing rather than storing eclipse energy in a jar.

Save your Moon Water workings for calmer Full Moons, when the lunar light is steady, balanced, and fertile for charging.

🌊 Pisces Eclipse Cleansing Bath (or Foot Soak)

Since Pisces is a water sign, ritual bathing is one of the most powerful ways to align with this eclipse. If you don’t have a bath, a foot soak works just as well — the point is intentional immersion in cleansing water.

Ingredients (adjust amounts intuitively):

  • 1–2 cups of sea salt or Epsom salt (purification + grounding)

  • A handful of dried lavender or chamomile (soothing + psychic clarity)

  • A sprig of rosemary (banishing stagnant energy)

  • A few drops of essential oil: patchouli (for grounding) or frankincense (for spiritual cleansing)

  • Optional: a small black stone (obsidian or onyx) placed beside the tub or basin for shadow release

How to use:

  1. As you pour the salts into the water, speak aloud what you are releasing.

  2. Add herbs and oils, stirring clockwise with your hand.

  3. Step into the bath (or immerse your feet) and visualise the eclipse energy drawing out blocks, doubts, and fears into the water.

  4. When finished, let the water drain away, imagining all you’ve shed going with it.

This works beautifully as a substitute for eclipse Moon Water—you’re still engaging with lunar energy, but in a way that cleanses and releases instead of capturing disruption in a bottle.
